My Approach
My surveying practice is built around my absolute commitment to three things.
Detailed, Accurate Valuations – Based on a thorough property inspection, including an appropriate assessment of defects where these are material to the valuation, and careful consideration of comparable sales data and local market conditions.
Bespoke, High Quality Reports – I take pride in my valuation reports which are produced by me, not by a piece of software. My reports are fully RICS Red Book compliant and are easy to understand, with the valuation rationale clearly explained.
Outstanding Customer Service – You have a right to expect exemplary customer service. That means keeping you informed, it means calling you when I say I will and it means delivering reports on time. It also means being friendly, approachable and available to talk things through and answer your questions.
I work as an independent surveyor because that enables me to stay true to this approach. As an independent , I don’t have to worry about corporate targets and time constraints. That frees me up to do the best possible job for you. If that means some extra time on site to make sure everything is properly checked, or a bit more time ensuring your valuation is as accurate as it can be, that’s okay with me.

Background and Qualifications
Before training as a residential surveyor, I studied law, worked in business and worked as a property consultant. That varied experience informs my approach and makes me a better surveyor, a better listener and a better communicator.
I have lived and worked in Norfolk for the last 13 years and I am an expert on the local property market, construction methods and building defects.
My surveying qualifications and memberships are as follows:
- I am an Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a RICS Registered Valuer.
- I am a Member of the Residential Property Surveyor’s Association (RPSA).
- I hold the Diploma in Residential Surveying and Valuation.
- I am an Associate of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers
- I hold a law degree (LLB) from the University of Birmingham
- My practice is regulated by the RICS.
